The Palm Beach County Envirothon is a field-oriented, educational program where high school students, working in teams of five, learn to use critical thinking skills and develop problem-solving and communication skills to solve written questions or conduct hands-on investigations about environmental issues. Teams are tested in five natural resource categories: Aquatics, Soils, Forestry, Wildlife and a Current Environmental Issue. The current environmental issue changes each year. The first place Regional team advances to the State competition. The first place State team competes at the National level. The Envirothon is coordinated by the District annually. The District will hold it's 20th PBC Envirothon in February 2012.

PBSWCD would like to thank all of our corporate sponsorships who have helped make the Envirothon highly successful within Palm Beach County. Sponsorships help pay for a number of expenses including T-shirts, prizes, food and beverages, State entry fees, event rental supplies (tables, chairs, tents, etc).
